Welcome to a series of short books on Freedom – Trusted Space Books

Imagine you lived in Ireland in 1850. You could not change the system that oppressed you. But you could emigrate to a new world where you could be free.

I think that this is happening again. We cannot change the system that oppresses us but we can emigrate to a new system that makes us free. This new New World is based on the Network. Using the Network properly, as Nature does, gives the small, the node, great power. The power comes from the connections. Now small can be both beautiful and powerful. Now we can return to a human scale for life and for work.

This is the time for the pioneers. The explorers already have opened up the new country. With enough pioneers, most people will come.

The issue is trust.

The task I have set myself is that of a guide. I will show you how people have made the crossing to this new New World. I will show you the new rules. I will show you the benefits. I will show you how you can take the first steps to take you there. My hope is that if I can do this well enough that you will have enough trust to make the journey.

No one book could show all of this. It’s too vast and too complex. And anyway, who has the time for a huge book? So instead of the tome, I have planned at least 20 short books. Each book will be between 10,000 and 20,000 words long. They might take an hour to read. All will be available as eBooks and as PDF’s. Link to Store. Each will be priced very modestly at $2.99: about the price of a good coffee! Each will look at an aspect of how we live and show you the new network alternative to the institutional way that we have grown up to see as normal.

I start with the “Job”. “You Don’t Need a Job” – Link to Store – If we can see the Job for what it is, a construct of a paradigm, then we are no longer trapped. For how we make our living is the starting place for the journey.

Here is a Video Introduction

The second book in the series is called “You Don’t Need a Banker” - Link to Store - More than any institution today, Banks seem supreme and essential. But I will show you that to get the credit you need to make a living and to have a good life does not mean that you have to depend on banks as we know them today.

Starting in December, I plan to launch a title a Month. Here is the current plan:

You Don’t Need a Doctor - What if our health did not depend on doctors and drugs? This is not a fantasy. This book will explore the new science of Ancestral Health and show you how to take charge of your own health. Due December 2012.

You Don’t Need a Teacher We think that we depend on schools and universities to educate us. But does school and university really prepare for the world that is unfolding? Millions are finding a networked alternative that costs very little and that works much better.  January 2013.

You Don’t Need a Stock Broker How well have your savings done in the last 20 years? What if you set your life up so that you would not need much money in the future? What if you invested in things that cut your cost of living down and reduced your exposure to future energy and food costs? We will explore this alternative. February 2013

You Don’t Need an Office Why using the new connecting tools means that most of the costs of running an enterprise go away. How you can harness the tools of a major enterprise for almost no cost.

You Don’t Need Moses as your Leader Why a leader that sets the cultural climate will get better results than one who wants to direct – the new Leadership Paradigm

You Don’t Need an Organization You Need an Organism  How to set yourself up to maximise the network effects. How to get much more for much less effort and cost

You Don’t Need a Supermarket Why supporting a local food will boost your local economy and your health. How you can start to be a player in the new food system.

You don’t need to own everything Why sharing and using networks will cut your costs and make you more free

You don’t need the current political system Why communities will make machine politics irrelevant

Supporting these manuals will be a series of even more detailed manuals that will share my hard earned best practices and mistakes.

How to give up all the foods that you have loved To take charge of your health will demand that you give up sugar, breads and many foods you adore. Robin, my wife, and I will share how we did this and all the mistakes we made too.

How to be natural Parents and Leaders Here we go even deeper and see the optimal rules for parenting so that our children can develop to their optimal potential and how these rules apply to work too. Natural Leadership.

And for those of you who wish to go deeper still, I will go deep into the science of social networks and to change itself.

How do Human Networks Work and why they will destroy machine alternatives.

The Fractal History of Humanity I will show you the history of the series of paradigm shifts in human culture. I will show you why I think that they are like the ages of a developing person. And so why I am hopeful that we are finally growing up as a species.

I of course am also only one person of many who can help you understand this new New World. Please look at the tab for Rob’s Bookstore – Link Here – where you will find my reviews and links to the many other books that are being written today by people who know so much about this journey and the world that is emerging.
